Ten years making backend systems that outlast the people who built them.
I started in full-stack development and moved to the backend within a few years. What held my attention there was architecture, more than the endpoints themselves: how the pieces fit together, where the service boundaries go, what happens when something fails at 3am.
Since then I’ve designed and run backend systems across adtech, medtech, and enterprise software: APIs, integrations, and event-driven services meant to scale, stay secure, and survive years of maintenance. I write code the next developer can pick up without a walkthrough.

Lead backend engineer across several projects, responsible for architecture and delivery rather than one service. I designed event-driven systems with CQRS so the domain logic stayed maintainable as the products grew, and spent much of that time on data modeling, service boundaries, and keeping the codebase readable for the team that picks it up.

My first job. Full-stack Node.js (Express, Fastify, Sails, and framework-less services) with MongoDB and PostgreSQL, working on them from the developer side as well as design, maintenance, and monitoring, with GitLab CI for deploys. I built SAP integrations, a Smart City platform, TANGO energy management, an alarming service, and a KPI manager, and learned the fundamentals of both front-end and back-end work here.
